Founded in 1953 to preserve the local history, traditions, and customs of Bridgton, Maine and surrounding areas, the Bridgton Historical Society operates a museum and research center at 5 Gibbs Avenue, and the Peabody-Fitch House 'Narramissic' historic farm in South Bridgton.[1][2]
